“The little bit you and me might change the world," Malloy smiled, "it wouldnt show up until a hundred years after we were dead. We'd never see it."
"But it'd be there.”

OUR PURPOSE:
The Lee Bottom Aviation Refuge was born from a desire to save a vintage flying field, along with the land around it, for future generations. Having survived many turns in a long path to today, the goal is to give the airport its final shape and vector. The only direction from here is toward long-term sustainability.

This effort will require extensive community outreach, education of new generations, and financial support. Neither of these is beyond reach as long as support for the vision exists. Of course, that may be the largest hurdle.

It is nearly unheard of for aviation groups to focus on saving airports, and the surrounding land, before they are endangered. Enthusiasts are always drawn to the planes, forgetting that without the field the aircraft would be useless. Because of this, the number of airports in the USA has been on a continual decline. We refuse to accept that.

The Lee Bottom Aviation Refuge, Ltd, is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation dedicated to preserving aviation’s environment.
